Tours and activities

We would like to invite you to join our organised tours which reveal the cultural and natural heritages of our region, the Małopolska. From12th century cities and villages to mountain gorges and castles, each tour is specifically designed to transport guests to another period or breathtaking landscapes in the comfort of modern air - conditioned vehicle, totally private and conducted in English.

Kraków City Tour

A two hour walking tour through the historical highlights of Kraków including Wawel hill and Cathedral - the place of coronation and resting for most Polish Kings and Queens, follow the Royal route past the university to the main market square which is the largest Medieval square in Europe and the hub of life in Kraków. Visit to the cloth hall which houses craft and souvenir shops, St. Mary's church and the magnificent wooden alter sculptured by Wit Stwosz, also a look at Kraków's trumpeter who plays on the hour from the steeple.




Tracing Jewish Culture

A walking tour through the old Jewish quarter of Kazimierz named after King Casimir the Great and from the 18th century the center of Jewish religious and cultural life. Includes visits to locations used in Spielberg's Schindlers list, the Old Synagogue, the Remuh Synagogue, cemetery and Wolnica square ending in the Ariel café where lunch can be purchased, not included.




Wieliczka Salt Mine

One of the oldest salt mines in Europe and a splendid example of Polish artistic talent. Placed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage listing with the oldest part of the mine opened to the public as a museum. This walking tour visits chambers, figures and monuments all carved out of salt and depicting various periods in the local history and Royal events. There is a short stop for shopping at the end of the tour then a fun ride to the surface in the mine lift.
Please note: there is a decent of 400 steps at the start of the tour.
The salt mine is located 20km from Kraków



Auschwitz Museum and Camp

A dark memory in the history of humanity. First stop is the museum which was originally Polish army barracks converted by the Nazis into a slave labour camp for Polish prisoners then in 1942 the centre for extermination of the Jewish population in Europe. Specialised guides present a clear picture of life and conditions of the prisoners which leaves many visitors wondering how anyone survived at all. A half hour break for the purchase of souvenirs and lunch then travel 2km to the Birkenau Camp which was the largest of Hitler's death camps, visiting the remains of the crematoriums, international monuments at the rear of the camp then several living huts and places of selection. Return to Kraków. Lunch not included.

The museum is located 70km from Kraków.


Pieskowa Skala Castle & Ojcow

Northwest of Kraków lies the Ojców valley which offers an unusually rocky landscape and the Pradnik river gorge with an astonishingly variety of plants and wildlife. The region also marks the beginning of the southernmost chain of castles built from the 16th century onwards to protect the Southern Silesian border and trade routes and known as the ''Eagle's Nest'' trail. We visit the Pieskowa Skała castle which has undergone a full renovation and houses a museum collection from the Wawel. Among the collection are works depicting the development of European art from the middle ages to the 19th century, Gothic carved wooden statues, 15th century tapestry, baroque rooms with furniture and tapestries of Flemish and Dutch origin - the most notable heroic scenes from the life of Alexander the Great. A tour through the museum ends with free time in the rooftop restaurant for coffee, cakes and wonderful views (included).
Return to Kraków.




Warsaw - the Capital

The Polish capital since 1596 and the seat of government. The city was completely rebuilt after WWII according to historical documents and drawings. Depart Kraków on the Intercity express traveling first class and arrive in Warsaw where you are met by our specialist guide. Visiting the most interesting sites including the Old Town and market square, St. John's Cathedral, the Barbican, Royal castle and the royal route leading from the castle to Łazienki - the summer residence of the last Polish King. Return to Kraków. Time for lunch is provided.




Zakopane & the Tatra mountains

Poland's winter sports capital located 100km south of Kraków, the centre for great hiking and nestled under the highest part of the Carpathian range, the Tatras with many peaks over 2,000m. Zakopane is one of magnificent places and we will ensure a wonderful day full of Polish folk, artistic images, photographical scenes, unique wooden home architecture and rewarding shopping time. Our hamlet began attracting famous Polish artists and musicians over 100 years ago and still has a magnetic appeal. The tour will visit places of significance in Zakopane's history including the Chochołów wooden village where the Zakopiański style originated including the workshop of Jan Zieger, Witkiewicz's Chapel in Jaszczurówka, ski jumps, old cemetery and the summit of Gubałówka hill accessed via a funicular train for spectacular views of the mountain range. Then to a regional inn for a traditional highlander lunch and one hour free time in Poland's most famous shopping mall, Krupówki, then return to Kraków. Lunch is included.




Dunajec Gorge and valley

Depart Kraków for the Pieniny mountain range located 110km to the south. Rolling green hills with medieval strip farming and horse drawn ploughs transport visitors back in time and our first stop is the 13th century Niedzica mountain castle which protected the former Polish / Hungarian border. A guided tour inside then a short drive to Sromowce Niżne where we board the wooden canoe rafts for a two hour float down the Dunajec river which winds its way through one of Europe's most spectacular mountain gorges and one of Poland's most popular tourist attractions. The rafts are steered by boatmen dressed in regional costume who have been responsible for visitors for nearly 200 years . Afterwards terminate in the spa town of Szczawnica and lunch in the cozy castle restaurant. On the way back to Kraków a visit to the 500 year old wooden church in Dębno with its original artifacts and preserved wall paintings. Lunch is included.

Please note: this is a casual dress day with minimal walking involved. The raft trip is completely safe and regulated by the river water level which cannot exceed 1.2m.




Lake Morskie Oko

Located in the High Tatra at an elevation of 1440 m and one of the most picturesque mountain lakes. After a morning departure travel to the Polish/Slovakian border where we board the horse and carts which transport visitors to within one 1.3km of the lake after one hour and 15min, then a thirty minute walk up the sealed road and arrive at the lake shelter/restaurant. Three hours are spent there which gives time to walk around the lake along the rock laid trail, for those who feel fit up to the black lake situated above Morskie Oko and a hiker's lunch then return the same way. Passports are not required and lunch is included.
